From a design standpoint, the current Hospitable calendar widget can only be used in a sidebar fashion as an embed with a fixed height and width, and this fixed sidebar-style presentation means that it can't really be featured in the body of a given webpage because it doesn't span a column. it also makes rows look bad because there's far too much white space in the default state (before a user has made selections in the widget). if you look at calendars on OTAs, they can exist in the body of a page, or a sidebar, very flexibly, and the modal expansion works differently (it doesn't requite a bunch of unused white space in which to later expand). Hospitable needs to re-approach the widget to make it something that can be used flexibly in different layouts. I would prefer if Hospitable created calendar widgets or plugins that are specific to the most popular platforms. Squarespace. Wordpress. Etc. Creating a one-size-fits-all widget that can technically be embedded anywhere but is very inflexible and limited is less than Hospitable is capable of. You're obviously great designers and place a premium on usability and design. Based on that, I'm expecting more from the widget execution.
