Currently, recurring tasks in Hospitable are primarily time-based (daily, weekly, monthly). While this works well in many cases, some operational tasks are better triggered by actual usage rather than time.
Feature request:
Add count-based task triggers that automatically create tasks after a defined number of events.
Example use cases:
Create a laundry deep-clean task after every 4 checkouts
Schedule filter cleaning after every 10 stays
Trigger linen rotation or mattress checks after every X bookings
Why this matters:
Many maintenance and operational tasks depend on guest usage, not the calendar
Improves consistency and prevents over- or under-maintenance
Reduces manual tracking and mental load for hosts
Scales better for high-occupancy or seasonal properties
How it fits with existing features:
This would complement existing time-based recurring tasks, not replace them. Hosts could choose the most appropriate trigger type:
Time-based (e.g. weekly inspection)
Count-based (e.g. every 5 checkouts)
Event-based (e.g. after checkout)
This feature would be especially valuable for hosts managing multiple properties or high turnover listings and would further strengthen Hospitable’s operational automation.
