We’d love to see an inventory management feature added to Hospitable to help streamline operations across our properties.
Here’s what we’d find most useful:
1. Barcode scanning via mobile to track and perform stocktakes of items like furnishings, consumables, cleaning supplies, linen, and products for sale.
2. Ability to assign item locations (e.g., under-stair cupboard, cleaning caddy, bedroom drawer) to help teams locate things quickly.
3. Support for multiple inventory categories – furnishings, consumables, linen, cleaning products, and items available for guests to purchase.
4. Ability to set minimum stock levels and receive alerts or tasks when restocking is required.
5. Mobile-first design so cleaners or property managers can update inventory on the go during turnovers.
6. Optional reporting or export feature to track consumption, loss, or movement between properties.
This would massively enhance our ability to manage stock and reduce friction between teams handling day-to-day operations.
