HomeAssistant / Custom API for thermostats
HomeAssistant is a platform for all integrations. Offering a Home Assistant integration or custom API ability would allow Partners to use unsupported thermostats to be controlled via the Platform.
(the thermostat I use is a Bosch EasyAir).

I do a lot of this through automations in my HA system by triggering them off of the calendar events that I’m capturing with Rental Control (note, I’m the developer of it). I just moved over to Hospitable a couple of weeks ago, I can state that there’s a lot we can already do just from the data we have without going through the API. My biggest peeve right now is that I can’t publish my door lock codes back into the smartlock_code variable because it’s been locked behind a vendor authorized OAuth API and not the regular API token 😠

It just dawned on me today that if Hospitable were to integrate with Nabu Casa’s Home Assistant (HA)… it would by extension solve for integration with Mysa, Smart Life, TCL, and probably a whole lot more. I’m in the process of building my own integration with a Home Assistant Green device, and I’m having to take webhooks from reservation CRUD operations and use them to manage my own queue of future thermostat actions. If Hospitable could instead be the one to say “it’s time to set the temp to xyz”, then the plumbing inside of HA would be greatly simplified. And this might not even require any special integration with HA… Just publishing a generic webhook for real-time thermostat actions would let HA receive the trigger that lets it know a guest is on the way or has just departed.

Extent the API to thermostat would be great for me. I use as well Home Assistant in each of my properties.
