Problem statement
- The Direct module takes a long time to load, especially for hosts with multiple properties across multiple Direct websites
- There is no search feature in the Direct configuration area, forcing users to rely on browser search (Ctrl + F) to locate properties
- Managing Direct properties requires navigating away from the Property page, creating friction during property onboarding when most work happens within the property's details
Current workaround
- Navigate to the Direct module to add or remove properties
- Use browser search (Ctrl + F) to find the correct property in the Direct configuration area
- Switch back and forth between the Property page and Direct module during onboarding
Impact
- Significant time wasted waiting for the Direct module to load
- Increased risk of mistakes when manually searching for properties
- Disrupted workflow during property onboarding, as users must leave the property details page to manage Direct settings
Proposed solution
Add the ability to add or remove properties from Direct and Google Vacation Rentals directly within the Property page's Direct section (similar to how banking is already integrated). Ideally, this would be a one-click process.
