Adding NOTES field to calendar

It would be AMAZING if we could add calendar NOTES to these calendar boxes, instead of just cleaning tasks - like holidays, maid on vacation, 2pm inspection, furniture delivery, etc. There could be a NOTES indicator (a red dot) and the note would pop-up on mouse hover. The Minimum length of stay pop-up is redundant because it’s already clear from the rate/min numbers in each box. But NOTES would solve so many scheduling issues.

(I saw a suggestion to show the booking notes field in the full calendar — I don’t mean notes related to a specific booking, but rather, notes related to a specific DAY and LISTING. The booking notes field serves a different function.)

I see that the note feature is available on the laptop view, but I do not see it in the phone app. Is it only visible in the laptop view? Because I need to add a note while I am out, and might forget by the time I return to my laptop

Hey @Paul Horne , thanks for the detailed feedback!

I want to sanity-check something with you, because there may already be partial support for what you’re describing. If you click into a specific day on the calendar and add a note in the Notes section (not booking notes), Hospitable will show a small grey dot on that day, and you can hover to see the note.

Does that match what you had in mind for day-level notes (holidays, inspections, maid availability, etc.), or are you imagining something different?

    Warmly,
    Matt

Actually that’s fantastic - I don’t know how I missed it - I think because I spend so much time in the task calendar instead of the regular calendar. It would be better if it popped up on hover, but popping up on click is a start. Thank you!
