I appreciate your previous response and the flexibility of the current fee structure. However, we still face an issue with Stripe’s currency conversion fees, which are typically around 5–5.6%. Since Hospitable does not have direct insight into these fees, they cannot be automatically split between us (as hosts) and the property owners.
To solve this, would it be possible to implement a custom percentage-based field in the Owner Statement settings? This field would allow us to manually set a fixed percentage (e.g., 5.5%) for Stripe’s transaction fees, which Hospitable could then automatically distribute between the host and the owner based on the agreed commission split (e.g., 75% owner, 25% host).
Why is this important? • It ensures full automation without the need for manual adjustments. • It provides transparency in the Owner Statement by reflecting the actual transaction costs. • It eliminates workarounds or external calculations, making the payout process much smoother.
This small but powerful feature would be a huge improvement for hosts who handle direct payments via Stripe. Please let me know if this is something that could be considered for implementation!
