I came here to add this as a new request and noticed this has been in the backlog for over 2 years. Hoping a new comment will get some attention. My writeup:
Problem Statement
Professional-plan hosts can use Question Replies to instantly answer many common guest questions. However, guests often respond to those automated answers with short acknowledgements such as “Thanks,” “Thank you,” or “Appreciate the quick reply.”
Because OTAs monitor host response times, hosts are still motivated to respond to these messages. If the host manually replies an hour or two later with “You’re welcome” or a 👍, the interaction can feel unnatural to the guest because their original question appeared to receive an immediate response.
The Mogul plan may address some of this through more advanced AI messaging, but Professional already includes automated Question Replies. A simple acknowledgement automation would make that existing feature feel much more complete.
Proposed Solution
Add an automated reply option for common acknowledgement messages such as:
Thanks
Thank you
Appreciate it
Appreciate the quick reply
Got it, thanks
Perfect, thank you
Hosts could configure several short responses, with Hospitable randomly selecting one to keep conversations feeling natural.
Example responses could include:
👍
You’re welcome!
Happy to help!
Of course!
Glad I could help!
This could work similarly to Question Replies, with hosts choosing whether acknowledgements are sent automatically or prepared for review.
Impact
This would:
Improve the guest experience by keeping conversations natural after an instant automated answer
Help hosts maintain fast OTA response times
Reduce unnecessary manual replies to simple acknowledgement messages
Make the Professional-plan Question Replies feature more complete and effective
Save hosts time while still allowing personal follow-up when a guest asks an actual question
