Color-code check-in and check-out dates for cleaners

Problem Statement:

  • Cleaners see both check-in and check-out dates in their calendar/notifications, but they appear the same way, making it easy to confuse which is which
  • This can lead to cleaners arriving at the wrong time (check-in vs check-out)

Current Workaround:

  • Cleaners have to manually check the reservation details to determine whether it's a check-in or check-out
  • Some hosts rely on additional communication to clarify

Impact:

  • Risk of cleaners arriving at the wrong time
  • Extra communication needed to clarify dates
  • Potential guest experience issues if cleaner shows up during check-in instead of cleaning

Proposed Solution:

  • Display check-in and check-out dates in different colors in the cleaner's calendar and notifications
  • This would make it immediately clear which date is which at a glance

Unlock:

  • Cleaners can instantly distinguish between check-in and check-out dates
  • Reduced confusion and errors
  • Less back-and-forth communication between hosts and cleaners

    You could eliminate the check-in notification. I don’t send that to my cleaners at all - they only have alerts for check-outs and they know check-out time is 11am. There is no risk of confusion. (Is there a reason they need to know when there’s a check-in?) I think you can hop on with support to find a work-around pretty easily with how they get their notifications/reminders
