Control Direct Booking Auto Message Content

Problem statement:

  • Guests receive auto-generated Direct booking confirmation emails that may contain incorrect listing information (e.g., showing "Main House and Casita" when they only booked "Main House Only")
  • Hosts cannot view, edit, or customize the content of these auto messages
  • This creates confusion for guests and requires manual follow-up to correct the information

Current workaround:

Hosts must manually reply to guests after they receive the incorrect auto message to clarify the correct listing details. There is no way to prevent the incorrect message from being sent.

Impact:

  • Guests receive misleading information about their booking
  • Hosts appear unprofessional when auto messages contain errors
  • Extra time spent clarifying booking details that should have been correct from the start

Proposed solution:

Allow hosts to view and customize Direct booking auto message content, or ensure the system accurately reflects the specific listing booked in all auto-generated communications.
