This used to be a feature that worked previous to some sort of change in the platform in December 2024. I don’t understand why the ability to export to PDF of the full chat history was removed / changed.

It is important to be able to have the full download of all conversations between the guest and myself for attaching proof for any REPS tracking to show material participation in my short term rental to qualify for the Short Term Rental Loophole with the IRS.

Out of curiosity, can you please provide more context around why you’d want to export conversations from Hospitable? I could venture to guess, but I’d love to hear it from the upvoters!

I can’t speak for everyone else but for me, this was to set up an AI chatbot to be able to respond to guest messages using my previous messages as a guide. However, since then, Hospitable has released their own AI response generator that already does this and is quite good so I personally don’t have a use for this feature anymore.

I have the same reason. We’re building an AI chatbot and feeding it conversations would help.

Hi @Mark Bayhon ! Our suggest a reply feature with AI references past conversations already (and does a pretty good job if I can say so myself - as a host who was a customer before I turned into an employee!). Of course, some will still want to build their own chatbots for their specific use cases, and that’s cool too :)
You can pull past convos from our public API, if you want to get a little technical (which, if you’re building an AI chatbot, it sounds like you might be!).
