**Description:**
Today, when a host receives an inquiry via Direct on a listing that doesn't have Instant Book enabled, there's no way to turn that inquiry into a **Manual Booking** with the inquiry's details pre-populated. The host has to open `+ Add booking β Add Manual Booking` and manually re-enter the guest name, email, dates, guest count, and price from the inquiry thread.
**Proposed solution:**
Add a "Create Manual Booking from Inquiry" action (button) directly on the Direct inquiry / conversation view. Clicking it should open the Manual Booking form with guest info, dates, guest count, and quoted price already filled in from the inquiry, so the host just reviews and confirms.
**Why this matters / use case:**
There are legitimate host scenarios where the host needs to be the merchant of record (not Hospitable) so they can handle payment and tax treatment on their own side. The clearest example:
- **Military TDY / DTS-compliant bookings** β travelers paying with a Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC / IBA) are legally exempt from state and city lodging tax on federal-funded stays, and they require DTS-compliant travel receipts. Hospitable can't produce those receipts or apply the tax exemption as MoR, so the host needs to take these as Manual Bookings and charge off-platform (e.g., via Stripe) with the correct tax handling. This is a lucrative segment (military TDY travelers can't book on Airbnb/Vrbo), and the host-facing friction today is the manual re-entry step.
- Also useful for any host who occasionally needs to convert a Direct inquiry into an off-platform, host-managed booking (corporate rate agreements, comp stays, extended stays paid by invoice, etc.).
