Dashboard widget showing real-time channel connection status

Problem statement

Hosts currently have no prominent, at-a-glance way to verify that their channel connections (Vrbo, Airbnb, Booking.com) are active and functioning properly. Connection issues can occur from the channel side without warning, and hosts may not discover them until it's too late.

Current workaround

Hosts must:

• Navigate to Settings → Channel connections to check connection status
• For Vrbo, check the Chrome extension for a green "connected" banner
• Visit individual channel websites (like Vrbo.com) to diagnose connection problems when they occur

Impact

• Time cost: Hosts spend time manually checking multiple locations to verify connections
• Risk of missed bookings: Connection issues may go unnoticed, preventing new reservations from syncing
• Defeats the purpose of using Hospitable: Hosts are forced to visit channel sites to troubleshoot, undermining the value of a centralized platform
• Reactive rather than proactive: Hosts discover connection problems after they've already caused issues

Proposed solution

Add a dashboard widget (visible on the home page) that displays the real-time connection status of all integrated channels, showing at a glance whether each channel is 100% active and operational.

Hosts would be able to:

• Immediately see if all channel connections are healthy without navigating away from the dashboard
• Catch connection issues proactively before they impact bookings
• Manage their business entirely within Hospitable without needing to visit channel websites for diagnostics
• Have peace of mind that their listings are actively receiving bookings across all channels
