Email notification for direct booking payments received

Problem statement

Currently, there is no email notification sent when a direct booking payment is received through Hospitable.

Current workaround

Hosts must manually check their payment processor or Hospitable dashboard to confirm when direct booking payments have been received.

Impact

  • Hosts lack real-time awareness of incoming payments
  • Requires manual checking to track payment status
  • No immediate confirmation of successful transactions

Proposed solution

Add an email notification that is automatically sent when a direct booking payment is received, including:

  • Payment total
  • Payment details (method, transaction info)

Hosts would receive immediate confirmation when direct booking payments are received, eliminating the need to manually check payment status and providing better visibility into their cash flow.
