Problem statement: For bookings made via OwnerStay, the property owner is automatically included in the conversation thread. Currently, Hospitable's Messaging Rules send automated messages to everyone in the thread, meaning owners receive notifications for guest-specific automations (e.g., check-in instructions, booking confirmations), which can be intrusive.
Current workaround: There is no direct workaround to exclude only the owner from notifications while keeping them in the thread for visibility. Users must either disable the automation or manually manage messages.
Impact: This creates unnecessary noise for property owners and reduces the efficiency of automation for the manager.
Proposed solution: Implement a setting within Messaging Rules or a global filter that allows the system to recognize owner-associated contacts in a thread and exclude them from receiving the actual notification/message of an automated rule, while still allowing the message to be visible in the thread history.
Unlock: Managers can fully automate guest communication without bothering property owners, while still maintaining the transparency of having the owner in the conversation.
