Expose Gross Nightly Rates and Individual Discount Line Items for Vrbo Partner Merchant of Record Reservations

Problem Statement:
For Vrbo Partner Merchant of Record reservations created after Hospitable launched Merchant of Record, the Public API only returns the net accommodation amount after discounts have been applied. The individual discount components (weekly discounts, member-only discounts, early booking discounts, promotional discounts, etc.) are not exposed.

Specifically:

• The accommodation amount in the API response is the net rate after all discounts
• Both the guest discounts and host discounts arrays are empty
• There is no way to retrieve the gross nightly rate before discounts
• There is no way to retrieve individual discount line items

Current Workaround:
Currently, there is no workaround within the API to access the gross nightly rate or individual discount breakdowns. The only discount information available is the net accommodation amount, which makes it impossible to accurately reconcile reservation pricing or report discounts in downstream accounting and analytics systems.

Impact:

• Unable to accurately reconcile reservation pricing
• Cannot report individual discount types (weekly, member-only, early booking, promotional) in accounting and analytics
• Limited visibility into discount structures applied to Vrbo Merchant of Record reservations

Proposed Solution:
Expose either:

• The undiscounted accommodation amount (gross nightly rate) plus individual discount line items, OR
• The individual discount breakdown within the existing discounts array

Unlock:
Once implemented, users would be able to:

• Accurately reconcile reservation pricing by accessing gross rates and individual discount components
• Report discounts by type in downstream accounting and analytics systems
• Gain full visibility into the discount structures applied to Vrbo Partner Merchant of Record reservations
