I often offer guests a discounted extra night or a very late checkout when the night before or after their stay is available. Currently, I have to manually block that night in Hospitable.
What would be very helpful is the ability to extend an existing reservation in Hospitable in a similar way to how checkout times can be adjusted — so that:
The extension is clearly linked to the current guest
For OTA purposes, the extra night appears as a blocked night, not an additional billable night
No extra charges are pushed to OTAs (avoiding platform fees and limitations — e.g. Booking.com can’t handle extended stays once a booking has started)
Benefits:
Much clearer for cleaners, as the reservation visually shows the extended stay and correct cleaning date
Cleaner notifications could be triggered via existing alteration rules so they are aware clean is now on a different day.
Reduces manual blocking and risk of errors
This would significantly improve clarity and workflow for hosts who offer flexible extensions or perks like a very late checkout.
