Flag overlapping inquiries in inbox to help prioritize bookings

Problem statement

Currently, when a new inquiry comes in for dates that overlap with another existing inquiry, hosts are not notified or made aware of this conflict in the inbox. This means hosts may accept a booking without realizing they have multiple inquiries competing for the same dates, potentially missing out on more valuable reservations or failing to give the first inquirer a fair chance to book.

Current workaround

Hosts must manually track and remember which inquiries are pending for which dates, or constantly cross-reference the calendar and inbox to identify overlapping inquiries before accepting bookings.

  • Risk of accepting a less valuable booking when a better opportunity exists for the same dates
  • Missed opportunities to give the first inquirer priority or a chance to confirm before accepting a new inquiry

Proposed solution

Add a visual flag or note in the inbox when a new inquiry comes in for dates that overlap with another existing inquiry. This could appear as a badge, icon, or highlighted message indicating "overlapping inquiry" so hosts can immediately see the conflict and make an informed decision about which booking to prioritize.
