Guest-initiated alteration requests for Direct bookings

Currently, only hosts can initiate alteration requests for Direct bookings. When a host does this, the dates are blocked on the calendar for at least 24 hours. If the guest decides not to accept the change, the host faces an opportunity cost due to those blocked dates. Allowing guests to submit the alteration request themselves would eliminate this issue.
