We use notes on block to coordinate with our owners, if they want to use a property, and to tell us if a block was generated by a booking platform or not. We need to go back in the past when we’re doing billing and building reports for owners to see what those notes say, but they disappear when i look at old dates. Could you find a way to maintain these notes on past dates? Thank you.

    View historical notes for pricing changes and blocked dates

    Problem Statement

    • Hosts cannot view notes they added when making pricing changes or blocking specific nights after those dates have passed or been booked
    • There's no way to review historical pricing decisions to understand what worked in previous seasons (e.g., what price successfully booked last summer)
    • This makes it difficult to remember the reasoning behind past decisions when planning for future periods

    Current Workaround

    • Keeping separate notes in external tools like spreadsheets
    • Trying to remember decisions manually without documented context
    • Making new decisions without access to historical insights

    • Takes extra time to maintain notes in separate systems
    • Makes it more difficult to make informed current pricing and blocking decisions
    • Prevents hosts from learning from past successful strategies and optimizing future pricing

    Proposed Solution

    Add the ability to view historical notes associated with pricing changes and blocked dates, even after those dates have passed or been booked. This would include a way to review what prices successfully resulted in bookings during comparable periods in previous years.

    • Compare current pricing strategies against what worked in previous seasons
    • Make more informed, data-driven decisions without maintaining separate tracking systems
