Host Only Fee Migration Improvement

The initial implementation was helpful, but a bit crude. Lumping fees (especially cleaning) together with the nightly rental into one percentage change took some subtle control away from hosts.

Your default/suggested percentage changed my cleaning fee from $150 to $178, which is both too high for short stays, and kind of weird. I had to reduce the percentage to bring it back down to $175 (less odd, but too high).

Please allow us to define our fees independently from the percentage increase to compensate for the Airbnb host only change.

    Closing this as we now allow fees to be defined independently per channel. The host-only fee migration tool and action were a one-time thing.

    Hi Jay, I believe Airbnb is not breaking out the cleaning fee any longer to guests so you shouldn’t have to worry about how the number looks.

    Some pricing tools give you the ability to set what numbers to round prices and fees to; for example, you could tell us you want all prices to end in either 0 or 5, or always end in 9. We haven’t talked about doing that at Hospitable, but I’m curious if that is something you would like us to consider?
