Integration Support for WiFi-Enabled Midea Window Air Conditioning Units

Problem Statement:

• WiFi-enabled Midea window AC units are not currently supported in Hospitable's device integrations
• Hosts cannot remotely control these units (temperature, mode, scheduling) through the platform
• Since these units already have WiFi capability, integration should be straightforward

Current Workaround:

• Having to remember to manually adjust window unit settings
• Using the Midea manufacturer app separately for each unit
• No centralized control across multiple properties

Impact:

• Risk of forgetting to adjust temperatures before/after guest stays
• Inconsistent guest comfort when manual adjustments aren't made
• Missed opportunity to automate cooling based on reservation status

Proposed Solution:

• Add WiFi-enabled Midea window AC units to Hospitable's device integration catalog
• Enable remote control of temperature and cooling mode
• Allow integration with thermostat presets (Occupied/Unoccupied modes)

Unlock:

• Hosts would be able to remotely control Midea WiFi window units just like other smart thermostats
• Centralized climate management across all property types
• Automated cooling adjustments based on reservation schedules
