We had a guess the use the debit card or something that had insufficient funds in the in the card so our security deposit was not secured. An email was sent to us and a notification sent to them, but I didn’t see the email because honestly I just delete all of my hospitable emails because I get so many of them, there’s no notification in the app that the security deposit had failed. The lock was still set the guest entered the property and damaged multiple things and I had no recourse. This is a huge fail on hospital’s part. We should’ve been a banner at the top of my app flashing or bright red. That told me I guess security deposit failed. And there should also be a back up system where the lock is either unset or not set until that security deposit has been secured.
