Manual Date-Based Price Adjustments for Events

Problem Statement:

  • Hosts have no way to manually mark specific dates to temporarily increase prices
  • When local events happen in the area, demand increases but hosts can't easily adjust pricing for those dates
  • This results in missed revenue opportunities during high-demand periods

Current Workaround:

  • Hosts must manually update prices date-by-date through the calendar
  • This is time-consuming and easy to miss, especially for multiple events throughout the year

Impact:

  • Lost revenue from not pricing during high-demand event dates
  • Significant time spent manually adjusting prices across multiple dates
  • Inconsistent pricing during peak demand periods

Proposed Solution:

  • Add the ability to create a list of events with their start and end dates, along with the event name
  • Display these events on the calendar so hosts can visually see which dates are marked
  • Allow hosts to upload or enter date ranges in a console to mark multiple dates at once, rather than adding them one by one
  • Apply a price increase to all marked dates automatically

Unlock:

  • Hosts can easily capture higher revenue during local events
  • Time saved by entering event names and date ranges instead of manually adjusting each date
  • Visual calendar display makes it easy to see which dates have price adjustments applied
  • Better control over pricing during predictable high-demand periods
