Multi-property booking in a single transaction for large groups

Problem statement

Hosts with multiple properties cannot currently offer guests a way to book multiple properties in a single transaction. This is particularly challenging when accommodating large groups that exceed the capacity of a single property, or when operating a multi-property resort where guests need to secure multiple units for the same dates.

Current workaround

Hosts must direct guests to book each property separately through individual transactions. This requires guests to complete multiple checkout processes for what should be a single group booking.

Impact

• Lost bookings from guests who abandon the process due to complexity
• Extra time spent manually coordinating with guests to ensure all properties are booked
• Difficulty ensuring all required properties remain available for the same dates during the multi-step booking process
• Reduced competitiveness when launching or operating multi-property resorts

Proposed solution

Enable guests to select multiple properties (e.g., from a search or property list), add them to a cart, and complete checkout in a single transaction. This would ensure all properties are reserved together for the same dates with one payment.
