Would be great to either be able to change the guest phone umber \ email, or have additional fields to fill in with alternate numbers and emails as the OTAs block the real emails and numbers or as I have found out the data given is old and needs to be updated.

Host-controlled custom code conditions: the freedom to work-around.

When I search Featurebase for ‘custom code’, there are hundreds of requests to add various parameters for custom code conditions, such as reservation codes, cars, ratings, etc. While these are all useful, their absence would be forgivable with a work-around.

I humbly request the feature to “tag” or somehow parameterise guests according to what is learned in the conversation with them. At present, the information source for almost all custom code conditions is from the guest. A condition whose source is easily controlled by the host would enable a work-around for many pending custom code related feature requests. This may be as simple as a condition that goes something like: “the phrase ‘has car’ appears in the notes section” (since this field is controlled by the host), or as complex as enabling users to add custom parameters that hosts would like to know/learn about guests and make note of, and maybe even having AI suggest/complete those parameters. Both of these solutions offer a way for the host to record something and change the messaging as a result, something which is not possible in the current paradigm.

This feature seems to be low-hanging fruit, since a very small amount of effort (such as the condition suggested above) would unlock a great deal of potential to enable work-arounds when specific features are not yet implemented.

To provide a specific example, I commented on this 12-month old post which asks for a condition of whether they are bringing a car.

The condition mentioned above which is derived from the (host-controlled) notes section, would allow me to enter “has car” in the notes section, so that custom codes can then provide parking instructions only when necessary.
