Currently while you can block out dates and note that its for an owner stay, I would like it to be more pronounced and obvious with a distinct color bar like a booking.
Totally agree with the need for clearer calendar visuals for owner stays—this helps avoid operational mix-ups, especially with cleaning schedules and accidental unblocks.
Just wanted to add: if you're also looking for a way to operationally handle owner stays and contractor visits (like notifying cleaners, assigning lock codes, but not triggering guest automations), we’ve submitted a related feature request that builds on this:

Thanks for your feedback, we heard from other hosts that it was important to distinguish between days that are temporarily unavailable (due to availability settings) and day that are manually blocked (and will stay blocked until the host explicitly marks them as available), such as in the example you gave in your feedback where you are blocking dates for an owners stay.
We recently shipped some calendar changes that use a different visual element for (1) manually blocked dates and (2) dates that have restricted check-in or checkout. (attached)
What would make this even more useful for you?

Thank you, however, this does not reaolve the issue. As an example, Hostfully has a completely different color for PM’s manual blocks and Owner’s logging into their owner portal and creating a block. That way we can easily identify when an Owner is staying at their own property so we will know to schedule a check out cleaning, not to accidentally unblock the dates, etc.
In the screenshot you will see:
Green = Property Manager blocked
Purple = Owner blocked stay
We allow owners access to their calendars so they can block their own dates. This would be the best solution.
