When a task is assigned to a teammate, they get a task-assigned notification, a 48-hour nudge if still unaccepted, a 24-hour pre-task reminder, and a 1-hour push before start. The host is only notified when the teammate actively accepts or declines.
The gap is when a teammate never opens the notification and never accepts. The task silently rolls toward start with no accept, and the host only finds out when a guest checks into a dirty unit or the cleaner no-shows.
It would help to send the host a re-notification when a task is still pending within a configurable window before start (say 48h, 24h, or 12h), with an option to escalate to a backup teammate or the host directly so it can be reassigned in time. An "unaccepted tasks" view or badge in Operations would also make risk visible at a glance.
Competitors like Turno and Truvi have this cadence built in. The teammate-side reminders already exist; the host-side safety net is the missing half. A single "you have N tasks unaccepted within 48h of start" digest would catch these before they turn into refunds or churn.
