Seasonal minimum price controls in Dynamic Pricing

Problem statement

Hosts cannot set different minimum prices for different seasons or months of the year in Hospitable's Dynamic Pricing. This means the algorithm may set rates too low during high-demand seasons (e.g., winter) when hosts need higher minimums to protect revenue.

Current workaround

Hosts are forced to use third-party dynamic pricing tools like Wheelhouse that offer seasonal minimum price controls.

Impact

  • Extra monthly cost for third-party pricing tools
  • More time spent managing pricing across multiple platforms
  • Reduced ability to consolidate operations within Hospitable

Proposed solution

Add the ability to set different minimum prices by month or season in Hospitable's Dynamic Pricing settings. For example:

  • December–March: $250 minimum
  • June–August: $200 minimum
  • April, May, September–November: $150 minimum

Unlock

Hosts could fully manage dynamic pricing within Hospitable without needing third-party tools, saving money and time while maintaining seasonal revenue protection.
