Problem Statement:
- Currently, hosts must log into Airbnb to send payment requests (extra charges, deposits, etc.) for Airbnb reservations
- This requires switching between Hospitable and Airbnb, creating friction in the workflow
- There's no way to manage Airbnb payment requests within Hospitable's interface
Current Workaround:
- Logging into Airbnb separately to send payment requests through the Airbnb app or Resolution Center
- Managing reservations across two platforms instead of one
Impact:
- Additional time spent switching between platforms
- Inefficient workflow when managing multiple reservations
- Increased risk of forgetting to send payment requests
Proposed Solution:
- Add a "Send Payment Request" feature within Hospitable's inbox/reservation view for Airbnb bookings
- Allow hosts to create and send payment requests without leaving Hospitable
Unlock:
- Hosts would be able to manage all payment requests for Airbnb reservations directly within Hospitable
- Streamlined workflow with no need to switch platforms
- Faster resolution of payment-related issues
