Skip Pre-approval Expiration Message if requested days have been booked.

Earlier this week I got a VRBO inquiry from a lovely family Group A, I pre-approved their request and the ball was on their court. The very next day I got an instant booking on AirBnB for the exact same dates for Group B.

When the next day Group A asked me for help completing their booking I had to go to the awkward phase of letting them know that a pre-approval is not a commitment. After that 10 minute awward conversation, they were gracious enough to understand and let it go. Freindly exchange.

A couple of hours later, the pre-approval expired and the Hospitable message went to Group A, letting them know the approval expired, while the language in the message itself was not indicative of their dates being available by any means, to a person hoping that their dates are back available this message got their hopes up and they reached out again and I had to explain to them that was a runaway message that should have never been sent since Hospitable has access to all the calendars and can identify that there is no point to send a message about an expired pre-approval for dates that are no longer available. Less friendly exchange.

Can we get this in the roadmap? If the dates are no longer available either proactively expire the pre-approval and notify the guest or just do nothing, don’t send a message that will get their hopes up.
