SMS notification when guest hasn't completed portal registration before check-in

Problem Statement:

  • Guests who haven't completed their guest portal registration don't receive scheduled check-in messages (including door codes)
  • Hosts discover this issue only when guests arrive at the property and can't get in
  • No proactive alert system exists to notify hosts when a guest is approaching check-in without completing required portal steps

Current Workaround:

  • Hosts must manually check every upcoming booking to see if the guest has completed their portal registration
  • This is time-consuming and easy to miss, especially with multiple bookings
  • Relies on guests proactively reaching out if they have issues

Impact:

  • Guests arrive at properties unable to check in, creating a poor guest experience

Proposed Solution:

  • Add an SMS notification to hosts when a guest is approaching check-in (e.g., within 24 hours) but hasn't completed their guest portal registration
  • This would allow hosts to proactively reach out to guests to complete the required steps

Unlock:

  • Hosts would receive advance notice when guests haven't completed registration
  • Ability to proactively contact guests before check-in to ensure they complete required steps
  • Prevent check-in failures and improve overall guest experience
  • Eliminate the need to manually check each booking
