Snooze or mute resolved conversations to return to Inbox at a scheduled time

Problem statement

Currently, when a host resolves a conversation for a far-out booking, it only returns to the Inbox if:

  • The guest sends a new message, or
  • The reservation status changes

Many guests don't communicate unless there's an issue, which means hosts may never see these conversations return to their Inbox β€” even when they need to follow up closer to check-in.

Current workaround

Hosts must manually track far-out bookings outside of Hospitable (e.g., calendar reminders, spreadsheets) to remember to check back on resolved conversations at the appropriate time.

Impact

  • Hosts lose visibility on bookings that need attention closer to check-in
  • Increased manual workload and risk of missing important follow-ups
  • Resolved conversations can become "out of sight, out of mind" for bookings months away

Proposed solution

Add a "snooze" or "mute" option when resolving a conversation that allows hosts to set a date/time for the conversation to automatically return to the Inbox β€” similar to email snooze functionality.

Hosts would be able to confidently resolve far-out booking conversations knowing they'll automatically resurface at the right time, reducing manual tracking and ensuring timely guest communication without relying on guest-initiated messages.
