Sticky Back Button in Task Management Rules Editor

Problem Statement

When editing rules in Operations > Task Management > Rules > Rule Edit, the "Back" button is only visible at the top of the page. Users often scan through the entire checklist to the bottom before saving to ensure nothing was missed, which means they're at the bottom of the page when they want to return to the rules list. This requires scrolling all the way back to the top to access the back button.

Current Workaround

Users must manually scroll back to the top of the page after reviewing and saving changes to click the back button, which becomes tedious when making multiple edits across different property checklists.

Impact

  • Slows down workflow when making repetitive edits across multiple rules
  • Creates friction when adding the same checklist item to multiple properties (e.g., remembering to add a forgotten item to all other property checklists)
  • Requires unnecessary scrolling and navigation time
  • Particularly frustrating when frequently switching between rules to update checklists

Proposed Solution

Make the "Back" button sticky (fixed to the top of the page) in the Rule Edit view, similar to how the rule name and on/off toggle remain visible while scrolling. This would keep the navigation control accessible at all times, regardless of scroll position.

Unlock

Users would be able to quickly navigate between multiple rules when making batch updates to checklists, significantly speeding up the process of maintaining and updating task management rules across properties.
