Sync listing content from lead listing to Vrbo
Problem statement
- Hosts must manually manage listing content separately on Airbnb and Vrbo
- Photos, amenities, descriptions, house rules, fees, discounts, and cancellation policies cannot be synced from the lead listing to Vrbo
- This creates duplicate work whenever listing content needs to be updated
- Inconsistent listing content can affect partner distribution channels connected through Vrbo
Current workaround
Hosts manually update listing content on both Airbnb and Vrbo separately to keep information consistent across platforms and partner distribution channels.
Impact
- Increased time and operational cost to maintain multiple platforms
- Risk of inconsistent information between Airbnb and Vrbo, which can affect guest expectations, listing accuracy, visibility, and bookings
- Potential for errors when updates are made on one platform but not the other
- Inconsistencies can cascade to partner distribution channels connected through Vrbo, affecting pricing, rules, policies, and guest expectations
Proposed solution
Enable Hospitable to sync or push listing content from the lead listing (typically Airbnb) to Vrbo, including:
- Photos
- Amenities
- Descriptions
- House rules
- Fees
- Discounts
- Cancellation policies
- Any other listing content/settings that could affect guest expectations or bookings
Allow hosts to choose whether updates are pushed automatically or reviewed/approved before syncing to Vrbo, especially for sensitive settings such as fees, discounts, cancellation policies, and house rules.
Support consistency across any partner distribution channels connected through Vrbo.
Unlock
Hosts would be able to manage listing content in one place and have it automatically reflected on Vrbo and partner distribution channels, eliminating duplicate work, ensuring consistency across platforms, and maintaining control over sensitive settings.
