Webhook/Notification for Cleaning Task Completion

Problem Statement:
  • There is no way to receive a notification (webhook or otherwise) when a cleaning task is marked as completed
  • This creates a gap in automation — teams can't trigger downstream actions (e.g., notifying guests, updating systems) when a cleaner finishes their job
  • Current notification rules only cover Task Assigned, Task Updated, and Task Cancelled — not Task Completed
Current Workaround:
  • Manually checking the task status in Hospitable to see if a cleaner has marked it complete
  • No automated way to be alerted when a task is finished
Impact:
  • Operational inefficiency — staff must manually monitor task completion
  • Delayed guest communication — can't automatically notify guests that their space is ready
  • Lost automation opportunities — can't trigger third-party integrations or workflows based on task completion
Proposed Solution:
  • Add a "Task Completed" trigger to Notification Rules (email/SMS)
  • Provide a webhook endpoint that fires when a cleaning task is marked complete, allowing integration with external systems
Unlock:
  • Automatically notify the right people (guests, hosts, or internal teams) when a cleaning task is finished
  • Enable automated workflows and third-party integrations triggered by task completion
  • Reduce manual monitoring and improve response times
