Webhooks Triggered By Message

I would love to be able to allow guests to control lighting, temperature, etc. Through messages rather than having them use a tablet that is in the unit. To do this, I'd have to define some messages like tub heat and then have a web hook connection.

Put most generically I would like to be able to trigger a webhook based on a particular message sent by a guest.

This seems to be working great, but I have a couple requests that would save an API call.

It would be really nice if I could configure it to send the reservation start and end dates and property ID. It's not a big deal for me to do the API call though, so I just was throwing it out there in case you're looking at enhancing the web hook.

I’m ecstatic this is coming! I can’t wait to have my guests be at dinner and preheat the hot tub. We even have smart bed heaters so “warm up my bed” actually turning them on is going to blow their mind.

We’re going to want to see that once you implement it! It would be inspiration for other hosts 💜 Will you keep us posted?

It's all implemented. Essentially, the web hook triggers something on my server which then runs a script and tries to verify the guest is at the right property and in a current reservation based on an API call to hospitable. I'm then using an llm to register the guest hot tub intent and initiate heating or scheduling. I then use the API to reply back to the guest.
