Webhooks v2 for hosts

Feature requests

Webhooks can be accessed for those interacting with v2 of our Public API, but should also be accessible to customers as a standalone feature in the UI (Apps > Webhooks). We need to improve some functionality here, as well as update the UI to handle v2.

      Hi Hospitable — Seeing this post I was excited!

      I just reviewed the V2 Webhooks for Reservations, the Technical Documentation and the V2: Step-by-Step Guide but did not see an updated Webhook trigger for guest check-in and check-out times. Did I miss it or is this something might be in the pipeline for the future? (my prior suggestion in the comments below)

      As an aside, I see the great work you’re doing with Seam for the Thermostat integration etc. and perhaps that is the direction you’re heading for the overall smart home integrations (I see that they have Hubitat on the beta list, and it looks like you’re already supporting SmartThings)

    I’d like to suggest an additional enhancement to the Hospitable Webhooks functionality.

    Currently, Webhooks are triggered for events such as Pending, Accepted, Booking, Waiting for Payment, Canceled, and Date/Guest # changes.

    Expanding this functionality to include triggers for guest check-in and check-out times would be incredibly valuable and could significantly expand the automation possibilities with platforms like IFTTT, Zapier, and Hubitat.

    For example, triggering automations such as starting or stopping robot lawn mowers, robot vacuums, irrigation systems, adjusting lights, or modifying thermostat settings based on guest presence.

    I built a Hospitable webhook for use with IFTTT but it only functions properly in test as check-in/check-out times are not part of the current event triggers. I shared my code in the comments for an IFTTT feature request:

    Introducing a webhook for guest check-ins and check-outs would greatly enhance the integration capabilities and improve the overall smart home management experience for Hospitable users.
