Automate upselling extended stays
An automated msg to guests that stay on either side of a reservation, especially on orphan/gap nights, offer a longer stay or earlier check in at a discounted rate. Other PMS’s offer this but I don’t see it here. Would be a nice addition.

I was able to set up an open night rule that adds text to the 7day and 3-day pre-email, with canned text/custom codes:
By the way, I have some great news for you. The night before your planned stay is still available, and I can make it available at a significant discount if you're interested. Simply let us know and we'll do the rest.

The system should have a condition that allows you to send a different version if there are nights before, after, or BOTH! Allow us to apply automatic discounts so the message sends with pricing and the ability to accept the offer so we don’t have to do anything and the calendar updates and the guest is charged.

@Andrew Schorr is there a plan to address this issue with the orphan night custom codes and messages? You have to send your guest multiple messages if there is a night before or after or both available. It makes us look incompetent and it is annoying. We need this for direct and OTAs with a way to allow the guest to checkout right from the message. Sort of like a resolution center link to pay. Your feature would need to have hosts put in a percentage with min/max parameters. Most hosts will base this both on the current price AND a percent of what that guest paid. For example, if the orphan night is priced at $300 but that guest only paid $100 a night we might offer it for way less so it looks like a deal to them. Or if that guest booked all weekdays and the orphan is a weekend we might be okay offering it at say 30% off list price.

The plan is to not rely on hosts having to figure out custom codes. We want to rely more on AI to figure out the right upsell depending on the time and calendar context using the new smart upsell short code.
I really appreciate you sharing the context on how you want to price the upsell. That’s a big help!
And sorry for the confusion: I think we got ahead of ourselves marking this feature as limited release. It’s not available just yet. Right now the automated upsell is only for early check-in and late checkout.

Sorry, all, for the confusion: we got ahead of ourselves marking this feature as limited release. It’s not available just yet. In addition to early check-in and late checkout, we recently added general/arbitrary upsells with a fixed price or nightly rate. All available in Guest Experience > Upsells, but we do not yet have a solution for the additional nights.

Offer a Discount On Extended Stay
I have 2 day minimums which, during the summer, leaves some dead space between visits. It would be nice for some automation to offer x% discount (say 50%) to current or next guests if they’d like to add a day to their stay.

It would be good if the software could do the extension for us, if we specify the % discount we want to offer on the extended night, Hospitable could do that math and/or do it as a direct extension outside of the channel. I find it difficult to calculate the value of a discounted extra night in the current Hospitable interface for altering the reservation duration.

I'd like to for extended stay options to setup pricing for a % off the current nightly rate. This would help will seasonal and optional % off to ensure when auto message goes out the rate is appropriate.

Adjacent Available Nights
Hi, I would like to see an automated message that can be used to discount adjacent nights before and after a reservation. I know there is an upsell feature but would like to see a separate message that can be sent 2 weeks out

This would be highly appreciated indeed… You have the rules, and already know what nights are adjacent, would love to see a rule that send an auto message with a set discount. Example: 40% of if orphans nights between 2 guests…

Upsell Idea - Extend stay
Ability to provide an upsell option at front or back end of the stay but have it so it’s automatically sent out before the stay (as set by the user) if no one has a reservation those dates already. Make it a setting so the host doesn’t have to check to see if the dates are available etc.

Yes I want this, but I want it only for orphan nights (a single available night between 2 bookings). Also, it would be best if the extension was direct via Hospitable to avoid additional channel fees.
